Sandymount Events. Going forward in these times.

All events will be risk assessed and guidelines updated from government guidelines and the Liverpool Archdiocese plus advice taken from Canon Fr John Furnivall Dean of Crosby.  All groups sign terms and conditions plus regularly updated risk assessment.

 

Prayer Groups meeting on zoom at present

Wednesday 6-30 once a every two weeks, meeting on zoom the Women of St Joseph (teaching from the Catechism) wonderful women’s fellowship. Lead by Kathy Riley

Sandymount prayer group meets on zoom Tuesday 7pm (Rosary prayers and praise.) Lead by Anthony Glyn.

We are hoping to resume our first Saturday masses to our lady.

November weekend Friday 13th Sunday -15th

Women of St Joseph are hosting a retreat on Saint Pope John Paul’s Theology of the Body, (Reclaiming Authentic Femininity). Residential and non-residential booking early is a must due to numbers allowed and guidelines. If there are changes in the guidelines the above retreat would be held on zoom.  Please contact kathy Riley at Sandymount 0151-924-4850.

We are open to take bookings for working groups, following all the guidelines and regular updates with our risk assessment.

 

 

 

News August 2020 Montfort Missionaries team Sandymount

We offer our prayers and condolences to lives lost during this Pandemic with Covid 19. We continue to pray for those who maybe ill by this virus and we continue to pray for an end to this virus across our world.

We at Sandymount are opening up safely and slowly . We have Risk assessment ( available for all guests with terms and conditions of visiting Sandymount) that is  in line with Liverpool Archdiocese, Government and WHO guidelines.  We have also taken advice from the above and completed the best fit for Sandymount and our guests.  Moreover we will operate with smaller numbers.  However our hospitality and welcome will not be reduced. We therefore welcome groups who are ready to come back to Sandymount House of Prayers and Retreats

We at Sandymount would like to reassure all guests , priests, religious speakers and staff teams, you are all in our prayers in this current Covid 19 virus those of you in the   past and those of you  in the future.

The St Louis Marie de  Montfort fathers, religious and lay people in many countries are saying the rosary every night at 8pm. We would be like  to invite  you  join us and we ask that we remain in your prayers.

We pray for an end to this virus and pray for all medical teams all over the world and all who are working to contain and eliminate this virus.

We pray for our holy father Pope Francis and we thank God we have him him in this difficult time for the faithful and the rest of the world.

We thank god for the  technology that is connecting us all together  and allowing us to have a virtual mass.

We pray that and all the faithful and those who don’t practice their faith t may draw closer to Jesus and his blessed mother and find consolation in these times.

We look forward in Gods hope to resuming all events and retreats.

Weekly mass every Monday 12 noon followed by soup and roll plus desert.
Healing service the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm .
Prayer meetings
Weekly Tuesday Sandymount prayer group prayers and preparation for healing service for each month 7pm
Fortnightly Wednesday Women of St Joseph 6-30 adoration and teaching from the catechism 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month.

Sandymount Events February and March for Our Blessed Lady

Preparation for the consecration to our lady and the rededication which is happening all over our country in on Sunday 29th March

We are taking part in the 33days of prayer and having guest speakers

Friday 21st February mass at 7pm and introduction to the prayers from ST Louis Marie de Montfort prayer books available.

 

Saturday 29th February Fr Des Connolley smm de Montfort Missionary  priest will say Mass at 12 and give us a talk on St Louis Marie De Montfort and our Lady.

 

Saturday 7th March Mass at 12 o’clock followed by talk On Our lady

From Maria Hackman speaker from the Northern Catholic conference.

 

Saturday 21st March after 12 o’clock mass Olive Dawson will be our guest speaker. Whom medical evidence is available that Olive has lived, fasting and living on the holy Eucharist for 20years. Olive travels the world promoting her blue book Our lady Of the Home.

 

Please come and join our events celebrating the Eucharist and the consecration to our lady.

All names who consecrate will be sent to Rome   

The country will Rededicate at cathedrals up and down the country on Sunday the 29th March

An Introduction to Ignatian Spirituality

through the Creative Arts

We explore the life of the remarkable Saint Ignatius, enter into Ignatian discernment through film and Ignatian imaginative prayer using art. We will also practise a contemplative way of seeing the natural world through the poetry of the Jesuit poet, Gerard Manley Hopkins.

Dates:  Friday 8th May – Sunday 10th

Donna is an experienced retreat giver and worked at the ecumenical Tabor Retreat Centre in Preston, Lancashire, which involved leading retreats, spirituality days, contemplative meditation, labyrinth prayer walks and creative liturgy. | Trained in Ignatian spiritual direction, Donna has accompanied many people during weeks of guided prayer and through one-to-one direction.

The cost of the retreat full board is £150 single room, £130 shared twin room.
